the top bidder on those restalls has 25 percent with this seller. is this calculated on his total buying or just recent ,before I jump to a conclusion

At the moment they are at about 25% of their value. I don't think you can read anything into anything at that.
All I do is bid what I am happy to pay & if I win I win. No point worrying about shady practices where they may or may not exist. Whichever way it is, there is nothing we can do about it.

Buyers bidding history is only from the last 30 days, not total historic bidding.Nick W wrote:the top bidder on those restalls has 25 percent with this seller. is this calculated on his total buying or just recent ,before I jump to a conclusion

I'm glad nobody fell for this bullsh1t auction. Set a big reserve and get your mates to bid it up to the reserve hoping to get someone desperate for them!!!

Why do people think that the Cooper S seat auction looks Dodgy?
It is a lot of money, but TBH if I was looking for an original Red, grey Gold interior I'd pay that much for one as good as that.
Sometimes I think people see double dealing where there isn't any.
It's a whisker over £300 per bum seat, I have seen people pay much more for bits of an incomplete set.

The thing that looks a bit odd to me is bidders repeatedly placing bids that end in 99 pounds/pence. Who does that if they are actually hoping to win something and not be topped by either £1 or 1p?
Probably surfing.

I know some bids are put on by collectors who have the same thing , they don't really want to buy it but don't want it going for peanuts .EAVB wrote:The thing that looks a bit odd to me is bidders repeatedly placing bids that end in 99 pounds/pence. Also if you compare the prices of similar items for modern cars the rare classic Mini parts suddenly look very reasonable. A used interior like full leather in Cooper S spec for a new MINI would cost at least as much and probably more to upgrade a lesser model Cooper or One.....
