Bright and breezy day at Harewood.

Plenty of action, and a great variety of machines on the hill.

Here's a couple of snaps, more to follow later in the week.

You kept that one quiet boys !, would have fitted some 1960 plates to the "Mighty Mini"   , looks like one for next year in my "60"

Having a run out on Saturday (13th) at Barbon Hillcimb near Kirkby Lonsdale in the Mighty, quite a few Minis out, wont be as quick as the scooby but I just put in a late entry,..... Day off work, few mates doing it .. local event .. why not !

Excellent images as always Surf.

It was good to see you there.

Pleased to report a MK1 Perf Cons 1, 2 with Rich breaking the class record by about 5 seconds.

it was a good day out, very different to circuit racing. a lot of sat around (but it meant that there was plenty of time to have a good look at the other stuff, chat, eat, sunbath, hide from the wind) then a bit of queuing and then a frantic minute or so....

it would actually make a very good event for the mk1 perf calendar next year, the C19 class is a special that's run on the VSCC weekend for saloons that are pre 1972, so it would be great to get a load of minis there next year - with a bit of thought it could be a one off 'mk1 perf championship', my 'ahem' class record is there to be broken! 8-)

im sure there are plenty of people on here who have the right licence!

oh, and the red cooper s was a cracker, the owner was a really nice guy

Ahem, but i'm afraid, based on the photos, the Mini drivers were displaying a rather significant lack of commitment when compared to other competitors.

Very true. If I hadn't reset the suspension on the Hoosley after Blyton I'm sure I could have recreated some of the poses :)

I see from the results that Rich was pretty consistent with his times, posting the exact same on both timed runs.

I was holding back, so that Mark, driving a larger engined car, with freshly set up suspension wasn't too embarrassed........
