I reckon £30k plus if the last one like that (the EEY 105D - Green/OEW) was anything to go by.

That's what it's all about for me. I hope it isn't overly restored to New +++++ spec. Which it will be.

I'd say that will get a record price.

Would you like to hazard a guess at how much this is?

http://www.jdclassics.co.uk/showrooms/M ... /10971.htm

It looks a nice car although not 100% correct. Of course, being JD Classics you will be expecting a sky high price but this one is stratospheric.

This could be yours for £53500

Absolutely stupid money......think I'm sitting on a gold mine then. Really, it's gone all wrong. For that money I'd get something else.....even if I looove Minis :(

It is a beautiful car. Big money! but he will get it. It's really only penny's to most of his customers, it would probably go like this!

"I'll give you 2 mill for that Ferrari if you through in that old blue mini for my daughter"

Too true Nev, JD customers don't bother looking for cars on Gumtree or Ebay that's for sure!

I've got to ask what "not 100% correct means"? What constitutes correctness on this car (taking in to account it is circa 50 years old) Cheers

Money, but its good, i saw it during build. Very neat work.

From my experience with the minis there are very few really 'concours' quality vehicles - objectively concours, not mini scene concours, to get a comparable car WRT price. Surely its got to be apples with apples.

Arguably good value with a project S at 30k anyway? Without a time premium as well. If you want an as new example, which to be fair, lots of people do.

You try to make a good case Will, but whichever way you look at it, 53 grand for a restored Mini is Fricken ridiculous!

At least the 1071 "project" earlier in the thread is genuine & original. Not that it's worth (in my mind) the £30,000 people are suggesting.

I have watched this car throughout the build. The guy who built it really is a craftsman who pays extraordinary attention to detail in terms of door shuts, finish lines etc to an extent that I have never seen before. It really is outstanding.
Granted it is a lot of money 'for a Mini' ,but for all the commentary that the price of Minis is ridiculous they certainly seem to have a knack of changing hands quickly (if the restoration is carried out to a high standard) I think we have to accept that they are now without question a valuable car
To provide some context there is an unrestored Mk 1 S on eBay at the minute. It was up to £12k within 2 days. I think there are 4 days to go before the auction end.
Cheers
