Competition CV joints ?

Post by pad4 »

Is anyone aware if GKN or anyone is making a competition spec CV joint for the S (to use with swifty drive shafts)

Or do I stick with big shafts and Maxi CV joints ?

There for my 8 port cause ive left the existing big shafts and maxi joints on the other engine

no one is

the red boxed ones we sell seem pretty good, id say that what most people are using, unless they have managed to try and find some nos GKN ones.

as an aside, we tried and tried to get some 'special' c.v's made that had a LH thread, so it would solve the problem of the nut coming undone on the LH side of the car under hard use - we just about got the supplier to make a batch when they had a panic that people would use them on the RH side of the car and have issues with the nuts undoing and decided that the liability issue was to much of a risk......

And I bet nobody had thought of putting LH on the end so there would be a difference. Modern manufacturing is ran by half-wits at times.

To right - A certain high end OEM we do work for has left and right for the windows when sat in the car but left and right for the headlamp covers when looking at the car from the front

These seem to be coming out of the same factory as the Meteli ones that proceeded them were.

They are really good, best CV I've ever used.
