As an overseas customer, I can say they are bloody hopeless at e-mails and not great at doing what they say they will.

Well here we are a month later and I still have no word on my servo rebuild. No luck with them answering emails... Just as an FYI I am beginning to have some doubts about these guys...

i just called them and they answered the phone, admittedly after quite a few rings.

you should try calling them on 00 44 1706 644 210. They have always been very professional and helpful to me.

I phoned them for you before and i will phone them again in the morning ( Wednesday ) , I will let you know the outcome , They told me last time your servo would probably be ready next week and they would contact you about payment and shipping !!!!!!!!!!!!!, Over 4 weeks ago, Crap service .

Thank you again. It is a bit of a pain to be calling them from 1/4 of the way around the world but maybe they could just be encouraged to look their email every few days or so...

I got through to them after about 4 calls ,first 3 answer machine then around 3.30pm the phone got answered, OK i said i was phoning on behalf of Gary Schulz from Chicago USA, He said about the servo , Yes , its not ready yet, OK i said i phoned J&L over 4 weeks ago on Gary's behalf and whoever i spoke to said it would be ready next week and they would contact Gary by email for payment and shipping details !!!!!!!!!!!!!, I also told him that you had been trying to contact them by email forever and you was concerned and anxious about your servo, He said he new nothing about the previous phone call and it must be somebody else i spoke to, OK i said Gary needs this Servo asap, He said he would sort it !!!!!!!!! and could you email Gary and keep him posted on the progress , I also gave him my phone Numbers to contact me as well with a update.
Gary he said he will check the emails and could you send him a new email for the attention of PHIL , He says he will make sure its repaired within the next two weeks,
So the contact person is called Phil for your emails ,let me know of any progress Gary.

Before I sent my servo to them, they responded to every email exchange promptly but I guess once they have secured the business their attentiveness wanes.

Gary just had a call from Phil at J&L spares on your behalf , He says your Servo is ready for shipping and could you contact him via email with your details for payment.
Glad it got sorted in the end for you ,But still rubbish service ,Like you said once they got your business ,then they forget about the customer.
