Throttle return springs for twin HS2

Post by Rich997 »

Hello all,

Does anybody have a set of genuine throttle springs available, new or used?

The tension of the new springs I have is excessive (I have all three fitted in the standard position, no modifications).

I would appreciate any advice on a good source for new springs which are comparable to the original springs.

Cheers

sometimes they needed spring extenders to get the spring in an un-stretched or unloaded state, i'll look up the part number when next at work

I'm sure Burlen SU would sell you a set of new springs for not a lot of money. They are based in Wiltshire IIRC

Thanks both for the kind replies.

The new springs I've seen are definitely stiffer than any of the old ones I've fitted.

Similar story with clutch return spring.

Good suggestion to buy from Burlen, I still hope to find some NOS old springs or at least know the spring tension is correct.

Cheers
