Newton red/gold brocade

Post by kit of bits »

Evening chaps
I’m looking for a car set of red/gold brocade, I’m happy to buy bits or a set and possibly factory recliners etc.
The car will be a bit fresh for original trim, im happy to px some original trim/ seats..

Yes, there was a bit of interest in the potential sale, but more messages from forum members and friends telling me to stop messing around and restore it..I have 4 minis 2 working and 2 projects storage is always my problem..I will be selling an excellent 1964 shell soon to help fund it..

Hi Dave, be careful with piecemeal Newton trim mate. As Brian on here found out, they have varied like mad on the grey over the years.

Good thoughts Andy, like most I’d love a nice set of original but I have to be realistic.
I’m finding it hard to press the “pay now” button at nearly £4000 on the Newton website.
I love old stuff, I work on classics cars as a day job and we buy old leather sofas to make up the restored trim.

I’m not to concerned about the value they will go full circle and it’s a car I’ve always worked towards.
It takes a long time to save £4000 and not very long to spend it..
