look at the rocker cover photo on this for reference https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394988944640 ... R5zFns35Yg
Hello there,

This is very helpful advice, thank you! It looks as though that’s the correct size, neck, and metal filler cap. However, the breather pipe is just a short vertical outlet. Such as this image:

Not the end of the world, and a great alternative if I can’t find a mini item…

Thanks again for your very helpful input.

Cheers :D
I think they are only brazed in, so should be possible to change.....

That’s a huge help and will definitely get me across the line if nobody has one for me to pinch in the meantime!

Really appreciate the support.

Just say-in that A35 photo..the bit that secures the filler cover cable does not match the design of a 997 Rocker Cover .. the 997 Filler Cap Cable fits into a slot on the neck of the oil fill tube and the small cable has the ability to slide along the length of that slot within a very small bracket that is secured "on an early 997 Cover" by 2x Rivets onto the filler neck .. ( it all works a bit like one of those security chains fitted inside of a house front door) ..
Does this reveal now prove that i have become a proper "Rivet Counter"
Probably a good idea if Dermott can post a photo of this cable bracket that is located on the oil filler neck on his 997 Rocker Cover.

Thanks for your very fine eyes and insightful observations. You indeed learn something new every day, especially here on this forum… 8-)

It’s very much appreciated, and hopefully we’ll end up lucky with Dermot’s find! :D

Any idea how far that went back, time wise, just wondering if it was purely a 997 thing or not ?
