Longshot but I know someone on here recently found a set. Rebuilding my 998 cooper and while I’m within spec to just hone it, I could also bore it out.

I have a set of these in a 998 short engine. Not taken them out yet for inspection. Unfortunately I'm away from home until beginning of March so if you're interested in these pistons please send me a pm.

Further to my earlier post, the pistons set that Peter has got are a new set c/w rings in original Powermax box. The box has obviously been damp at some time and there is varying amounts of white oxide on the pistons, but not much, and some very fine surface rust to some of the rings. Having said that they look as if they’d clean and be very useable, would definitely be worth giving him a ring and getting him to send you some pictures and talk money, cheers, Mark.
