Pick up the phone and call Joe Curto. 718 762 7878 He has it all as well as the knowledge to go with it. He is having everything made in the US. Steve (CTR)

I can also vouch for Joe. I have bought stuff from him as his delivery times are often better than those of Burlen.

Re: Looking for a BDE needle for an HS6 carb
Due to the current heat wave here, I have been rebuilding carbs in my home basement. Having a large collection of SUs 1 1/4, 1 1/2. as well as 1 3/4. Also some HIFs as well. Having selected a pair of HS4s it was clear one had been reamed for a .010 o/s shaft. I called Joe but he was out of the shop. The lad who answered was very polite and really wanted to help me. It wasn't long before he suggested I call back in one hour. Joe answered when I called back and in spite of my limited knowledge of part numbers, Joe filled my order in no time and I had parts two morning later. Using first class mail only. Joe is a resource any SU user should know about. Steve (CTR)

Being the lone voice of dissent, I was distinctly unimpressed with the H4 carbs on Mrs P which had been "rebuilt" by Joe.
I'm sure his homemade needles were dispatched quickly, but the rest was underwhelming.

I can't speak to rebuilding service. I'm not sure why someone would have someone else rebuild their carbs. Parts and info. Steve (CTR)

Because the previous owner was capable of tinkering and general maintenance, but recognised their arthritic-finger limitations when it came to more intricate stuff.CooperTune wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 7:00 pm I can't speak to rebuilding service.
