Forum rules
For Sale Section Rules

PLEASE NOTE! Postings in this section are deleted automatically after they have not been looked at for 30 days.

1) This section is for advertising items that you have for sale. Not for the discussion of listed items. If you wish to debate the pro's & Con's of any item listed, please start a new topic in the appropriate section.

2) Please DO NOT post links to your ebay auctions. This section is NOT for the advertisement of your ebay auctions.

3) If you have a number of items to sell, post them in a single ad marked "Multiple Parts" or similar. DO NOT post many individual advertisements as this forces everyone else's listings down the page.

4) It is expected that any items advertised on the forum are described fairly & honestly. It is the duty of the seller to ensure that this is the case.

5) Items listed for sale should WHEREVER POSSIBLE* be offered with a purchase price, not asking for bids from members. If you wish to auction your item to the highest bidder I would suggest you use ebay & pay the associated fees.

6) This section is offered as a free service to enthusiasts. Any deals made are between the buyer & seller only. The MK1 forum takes no part in any transaction & the appearance of any item in this section is not a recommendation. I strongly suggest that both buyers & sellers are happy to proceed with a deal before any money or goods change hands.

7) It expected that people posting items for sale are "Active Members of this community". Any Adverts placed by members with a post count lower than 5 will be deleted.

8) The advertising of or soliciting for VIN tags, log books or any other vehicle identification documentation without it's associated vehicle is expressly forbidden. Any member breaking this rule will have his membership terminated with immediate effect.

9) If a moderator considers any postings in this section to violate either the spirit or word of these simple requests the MK1 Forum reserves the right to delete any posts without prior warning or explanation.

10) The posting of items for sale on the MK1 forum constitutes explicit acceptance of these simple rules.

11) Members posting items for sale MUST include a rough location in their profile.

It would be much appreciated if sellers could leave the sale price on adverts after the item has been sold. This acts as a good measure of current value for other sellers.

* In some cases it may not be possible for the seller to list items with a sale price. In this case, listings will be reviewed on a case by case basis by a moderator. The moderators decision will be final.

Blyton Bits

Post by mgcm1598 »

Here's a list for your perusal of items that I can take to Blyton:

HIF44 Carb on MG Metro inlet manifold with K&N cone filter - £125 (Sold - Tim)
Bare MG Metro inlet manifold - £25
MG Metro camshaft (genuine factory one, not a regrind) - £40 (Sold - AndyPen)
Kent 266 camshaft + followers, spider drive - £50
544 camshaft + followers (regrind, no idea who's, just stamped "544"), spider drive - £50
Piper HR285/2 camshaft, A+ drive, £30
Mini Spares Evo 001 camshaft, unused (removed from a Mini Spares ENG 001 built engine) - £50 (Sold - EAVB was first off the mark)
MED Stg3 36.6/31 cylinder head. Has recent valves and guides (need reaming to correct size) and needs some work on the exhaust seats. Has been skimmed quite a bit (I'd guess at about 17cc chambers) - £300
Unmodified MG Metro big valve head, unskimmed, absolutely ready to go - £250
Standard 12G940 cylinder head (33/29), looks to be unskimmed - £75 (Sold - The Bearded One)
Metro Turbo oil cooler - £35
Sportex type exhaust system single box, side exit, large bore (fits over the LCB, not inside it) £40
1275 LCB. Not sure of make but looks quite nice. Y-piece has been heated and reshaped slightly, could be repaired - £30
Short alloy sumpguard with steel brackets - £40
Set of W&P style arches, black grained plastic, reasonable condition £25
Pair of Mk3/4 doors in Aqua, useable condition bit not perfect - £150 (Sold - The Bearded One)
Pair of lightened Mk3/4 doors in Trafalgar Blue, very nicely done, good condition £300
4 No 4.5 x 10 Rostyles with Yokohama 032 tyres. Powder coated a few years ago, not perfect but round/true and still very presentable. Tyres are older (2013 and 2017 from memory) but are not cracked or perished. All at approx 2-3mm - £300
Aleybars 6 point rollcage with fixed diagonal. No longer certified for any motorsport that requires a cage, but ideal for track day or cafe racer - £100
1275GT block/crank/rods/pistons - 12G1279 block on std bore, 12G1505 crank on std/std. Running when removed from car last year, ideal for an exchange unit (most companies asking the thick end of £1k surcharge) bargain at £450
12G1505 crankshaft. A bit scabby (rusty on tail) as it's been lying around for a while, but appears to be std/std - £50
CAM6232 crankshaft. Freshly ground (mains -60, big ends -30), supplied with new bearings and thrusts. (Bought recently on ebay, apparently ground in the 1980s and never used, but now no longer required by me as I've bough another complete engine. Just looking for my money back) - £150

If you're standing in front of me waving cash in my face, most prices are obviously negotiable.
If there's no interest on the forum for the bigger items (rollcage and doors), I may leave them at home to save space, so if your interested, please let me know.

I can try to upload photos of items that anyone wants to see, or I could probably email them more easily.

I'll be setting up shop wherever there's space, but it'll be beside my aqua Clubman.
Cheers,
Malcolm.
