MM Pedal Extension origins?

Post by AndrewR »

I recently purchased one of the “MM” pedal extensions that seem to pop up occasionally. It’s obviously near identical to the well known Paddy Hopkirk pedals. I picked one up because I always assumed it was a 70s or 80s piece from Mini Mania, which would make it a fun California/USA detail for my Mini.

I reached out to Don Racine just to inquire about when he had made them, but it turns out they weren’t a Mini Mania item despite a number of forum posts suggesting they were.

Does anyone have any idea where they’re from? I’ve seen them often enough that it must be from a decently sized company. My best guess based on the initials is Moss Motors? They currently sell a different, blank one, that has a similar pill-shaped depression without the MM.

This pic is from google images just for reference.

I think it may well be the work of Mr Harber at Mini Mail.
Metric is for people who can't do fractions.
