As the tittle says, which belts would correct or close to what would / could have been installed?

Probably the Kangol Magnet. My ADO16 is August 67 build and has its original BMC Kangol belts although obviously it would depend on what the dealer kept in stock.

My July 1966 build date Austin "S" has Kangol Magnetic.

US cars were fitted with a one off setup on the tunnel...do you still have that on your car?

In 1967 I seem to recall that seat belts were a dealer fitted option. Please feel free to correct me on the date/year. But two-handed clip in's were the standard. The extra cost option was Kangol Magnet one-handed type
