Not of the correct (very poor) quality of the originals. 3/8" hessian backed carpet is more or less extinct in the UK now.

Thank you Mark. I notice that there are just few karvel colours available. Is there any other type available similar to what newton sells? Seems hard to find powder blue in any other supplier.

Something like this is a possibility, but personally I wouldn't buy without seeing a sample.

Yes, it is completely wrong on the back, but finding proper thin hessian backed carpet is almost impossible now. As I said, It may be worth getting a sample, but personally, I wouldn't be holding my breath.

All the samples I got two years ago were way out.

Was very lucky that a forum member offered me some old stock carpet for HOY. It wasn’t hessian backed but bought some hessian sheet and stuck it to the back of the carpet. Job done .

I used to have a great source for this carpet, but sadly the manufacturer stopped making it & that was that.

It is a really old school type of carpet being hessian backed & very thin by modern standards, it's just not worth anyone making, in the hope of selling the odd meter to people who need Powder blue carpet for their Minis.
