Re: Insurance
I have used 2 for years. RH & Footman James. I am currently only using Footman James as they were prepared to insure Adam as a named driver on everything. Not cheap, but useful.
RH, came back to me when I cancelled my policy with them & said the were now prepared to insure both of us, so I'm going to get a quote from them in June. Historically, they have been a good price.

Re: Insurance
Bit of advice from a man on the inside....
Always check who the actual insurance company is. There's a lot of 'white labelled' stuff about which will have a brand name on, but on the bottom of any quote should be the name of the insurer. Go for a household name if possible and stay away form anything not regulated the UK FCA regulator (it's usually the Bermuda, Gibraltar based companies I don't like). They're not all bad, but personally i'd steer clear for the sake of a few quid on my pride and joy.

Re: Insurance
Hagerty are putting up prices .. shame as i like the RAC Breakdown & Recovery etc that is included within premium & never been big hoops to jump through to get that agreed value .. but do notice i no longer get first refusal should the car be a rite off .. i will check price & what conditions apply elsewhere next time.

Re: Insurance
I left Hagerty insurance after 20 claim free years never had any probs with them but the premiums went up very quickly. I now use Cherished vehicle insurance for 2 coopers and 2 Jaguars they are part of the A plan group, the premiums have worked out better for me.

Re: Insurance
Thanks for the comments, and thanks Trev for the email. The whole culture of insurance where they hike it up, lose your custom and you go back to a previous insurer only for them to do the same the year later really does naff me off. And that’s not necessarily classics! Bit of a merry-go-round isn’t it?

Re: Insurance
I have my Minis on a Hagerty policy here in the USA. I’m happy with the coverage and I pay more than I would if I insured with a lesser known insurance company. One of those things where you don’t know how good they are until you need to use them.

I am with flux, when the worst happened they gave me a rough ride but did pay out in full over £30,000 on my mini pick up..
Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t easy hours on the phone, I lost count of the emails, pictures etc but we got there..I can’t thank Steve1071 enough for his input..
House insurance, 14 months later, week 30 of a 16 week project, full strip out again 2nd new roof, ceiling & floor I won’t go on!
Don’t insure with sainsburys bank..again I can’t thank steve1071 enough for his help..
