BLYTON TOTAL 2023

Post by mk1 »

Well, I'm back from another incredibly busy Blyton, the weather Gods smiled on us & apart from one shower at about 7.30 am, we had great weather all day, great track action, superb cars from all over the UK & Europe & I am pleased to announce that the provisional for this years event is a staggering

£4161.97

A whopping £630.01 being from the cash raised by Harvey Death, his team & sponsors who brought some fantastic merchandise, ALL the money from which went straight to our charity total.

We would like to thank everyone who attended & donated so generously all day, enabling us to make such a fantastic total.

A VERY special thank you must go to our brilliant gate guardians Jan & John who worked tirelessly all weekend, on the gate, rattling the collecting boxes and somehow managing to ensure that everyone managed to find somewhere to park in a Blyton Park that I don't think could have taken more visitors than it did.

WE REALLY COULDN'T DO THIS WITHOUT JAN & JOHN'S VERY, VERY HARD WORK.

All money raised will be checked again & banked on Tuesday, the total amount will be credited to Elizabeth's Macmillan Cancer Support Tribute Fund within the next few days. I'll post a link here when it is.

Thank you,

Pete & Mark.
See you all again, next year. It's already booked :)

That’s a superb amount raised.

Another fantastic day, thanks to Mark and Pete and everyone else who helped to make it happen.

Without a doubt the best Mini event on the calendar !

Brilliant day. First time I have ever been able to attend without a diary clash.
Well done to all those who organised.
My only regret is not bringing a Mini with me now.
Great job in every regard. Is there a way to make a donation online?

Cheers. Mark

Fantastic, amazing, running out of words, that’s a record breaker for the charity collection by some margin, it’s double! Thank you thank you thank you, especially Jan, John and George for all their hard work collecting and marshalling yesterday. Outstanding!

Busiest Blyton ever, we ran out room. Didn’t help losing the grass areas (out of bounds due to being waterlogged) but we JUST about managed. Weather was just about perfect so we were blessed again. Albeit I got so soaked loading up on Saturday that I had to completely strip off and start again including my shoes. Too much info I know.

Brilliant day, well done to all of you.

Fantastic total, to a great cause. This was my second visit to Blyton - what a brilliant day. Thanks to Mark, Pete and all the gang who did a great job.
Let’s make a note of this year’s total, so that we can smash it out of the park next year. I need to clear some gearboxes out of the garage to make room for a mini

Didn’t make it again but popped some money in the virtual bucket. If you’re doing it by card it wants the full year. Taken me 15 minutes of toy throwing to work that out!
