Blyton Action Day 8 - photos

Post by hanlminiman »

What a great day today and thank you to whoever organised the weather. Home now and downloading over 1000 images so bear with me for at least a couple of days. As I was leaving I witnessed the true friendship between members of this community as one of the German minis was being loaded onto a trailer for delivery to a ferry terminal. Thank you Mark & Pete, Rob (the photographer from Javelin) and of course the Orange army. Talking of orange, if you didn't recognise me I was the on impersonating an orange traffic cone
I may not have recorded every participant but I did try.
Cliff
ps Check out the Javelin website for Rob's photos, they will be good.

I got the chance to see some of the action from all the way around the world- via facebook and a couple members here who are also mk1 fb members.

It looked to be an amazing turnout of cars!

I wish i could have just somehow walked thru to look and chat.

Job well done folks.

I can't take credit for what others built- all I can do is try to put her back on the road.

You just can't fix stupid... you can hide it sometimes though...

Rob took over 4000 so must have downloaded the lot immediately. As I expected they are very good.

We nearly ran out of track for that parade lap! I see you dared to get the drone up!

I wouldn’t go against the organisers rules of course. Like no drones or dogs. However I do have a particularly pair of really high heels . Couldn’t wear them last year with the short skirt as getting into my plastic car with them on is unseemly …

Haha. They were reasonably relaxed about the few little dogs smuggled in but I got well and truly bollocked by the Blyton lady for riding a bike!

Talking of pets … err…Sooty and Sweep anyone?

Caught on camera by Rob. The parade lap photos are brilliant, so many smiling faces, love it. The parade lap photos start around page 25 of the 40 odd pages of photos!

I have been asked by Colin at Javelin to remind everyone that the pictures of our cars from Blyton should not be posted here or on social media having had the Javelin logo removed.

I think this is a very fair request.

Please can people NOT post these images here or on social media without the Javelin logo.

Thanks,

Mark
