Spiritual successor (not a BMW!)..

Post by Bitsilly »

I am currently crossing my fingers that I get a chance to snap up my first ever brand new car at list price, no discount!
It is not expensive for what it is and how it goes. It is very small for a modern car.
In theory it can have two small people in the back, and it has a relatively tiny engine!
Two doors and a boot.
And I am seriously hoping it could be considered a (foreign) successor to a mini due to go-kart handling.
It may even be a modern classic and it is powered by petrol only!

It has been out (and sold out) a couple of years now but I am hoping to buy a cancelled order.

Couldn’t possibly say what it is as it isn’t exactly British!

I would love to see what folk think it is!!

First thought from the description - might be a smart one?

I am hoping you are right, there were two of these in our road last year and both sold on for a profit ;-)

Well done!
Yep! I may soon have a Yaris!!
My son has dreamed of having one and started a job at Toyota in sales last month.
He heard about the cancellation and has a gentleman’s agreement that they will sell it to me.
At list!
Still I will believe it when I sign for it!

Wow! I don't think we ever got the GR Yaris here on the continent, a great shame because I think it's the only Yaris I'd ever want. Hope it all works out
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

I have driven the GR Yaris several times.
Small body with moderate displacement, but powerful engine is really the best!
There are quite a few cars on the streets in Japan, but I definitely want people in the UK to ride one.
If it had been released two years earlier, I might have purchased the GR Yaris instead of the Mini.
