What does £90K get you mini wise?
https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1542375
One litre 1964 Austin built as a Cooper S, this car apparently had £90K spent on the build.
How?? Even if it was 'properly' painted!
I never thought mini ownership would ever come to this.

Faithfully reproduced Mk1 S evocation (replica) but hasn’t got a Cooper S engine ……

Also, the reg no. isn't going with it so you would need to go to DVLA to have it registered. Good luck with that given all of the non standard parts, we all know how anal they are now about this. Why would anyone spend more on a lookalike than a genuine Mk1 S is worth ?. No sense whatsoever.

I could not imagine that the DVLA would cause any innocent parties any problem...
No sorry that is not in the slightest bit funny, I apologise.
My cynicism ends for ever here. I am moving on.

What the heck do they think they are selling?
There is some over valuing of assets going on there, or something. A non Cooper (let alone S) with a Metro block, and 'over restored' is a very weird way to describe anything? Should be £15-18k tops (and even that is daft for a mini)
Still, they'll get to enjoy it for a long time

Listed on DVLA as a 998, good luck having that re registered.
Also, as the boot lid has been drilled for non standard badges, by rights the dvla should refuse to register it, if they are being consistent.

It isn't even an original bootlid is it. It's a Mk3 one which has been modified - either by the restorer or by Heritage

The DVLA will automatically issue a replacement registration if the present reg is removed by the vendor
