So as not to disappoint those who were counting rivets!
I counted and recounted to ensure I got four....two in each plate.....think that makes four.
Due to the crazy situation with the Royal Mail in the UK......I ended up making a couple of the blind rivets for the Weslake plate......
Merry Christmas...keep counting....won't be long till the rivet fairy arrives!
According to local (Australian) BMC and Leyland historian and multiple book author Tony Cripps the plate securing rivets are part 6K834. This is documented in his excellent Vehicle Engineering Series books that include references to numerous factory engineering drawings. I commend them to anyone who is serious about the finer detail of Mini manufacture.
