What a fantastic day it was as well.
Ok, so i didn't bring a mini this time, (I'm coming to realize that substantial mileage there and back in a day, in a mini, is something I just can't put up with anymore) but what a great turnout of cars and the traders there that we often use on this forum, via facebook and online, (Gordon, Nick and the others I didn't know the names of). No shiny made in china bolt on tat to be seen

I said on the day that's its not often you can walk down a line of minis and pretty much go 'yeah, I'd have that in my garage' to each one..
It was very busy and I'd say the biggest turnout of non mini driving spectators? The different parking arrangements may have made it look that way, and also being in a mini normally, I'd not be walking through the car park to get in? It was disappointing to see a couple of cars ahead of us turn round when they got to Jan and were asked for a donation of a fiver to enter, WTF!! equally more baffling was the decision to presumably change their minds and come back in a few minutes later, I hope they did pay!! tight bastards
As always it was a big social occasion as much as anything, getting to meet up with old friends and acquaintances and make new ones, I did see the bearded Guru a couple of times but he was deep in conversation so I avoided getting shit for not having the spaceframe ready

. I spent a lot of my time picking up tips from the motorbike engine'd crews and those that I know do sprints / hillclimbs, all very useful for the future, and obviously trying not to drool all over Harvey's amazing car
Its definitely got its place as the premier Classic Mini only Action Event on the calendar, name me another? and I wouldn't like to see the format change, Classic Minis and mini based specials, no BMW's and no bullshit.
Huge thanks as ever go the organizing team and those who helped on the day.
