Moulded carpets originally on Innocenti built Minis?

Post by Bertam »

Just wondered about this.

Were the original, factory fitted carpets used on Innocenti Minis of the moulded type? I'm referring to the Mini 1001, Cooper and Cooper 1300 Export models only. I was looking over Newton's site which says their replacement carpets for those later saloons are all unmoulded.

If you look in my build thread you will see some pictures of my original factory carpets. According to the MCR's Innocenti Registrar (Foster Charlton) it's one of the most complete and original carpet sets he's ever seen.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
