Completely bonkers - one day they will come up with great schemes to entice people back into London to help save shops and businesses - this being after they have decimated the trading community, people who've moved out and then they'll have a public enquiry to determine what we have known all along - help not hinder!

I don't live far from London - and it used to be a regular trip for entertainment, but with all the increasing red tape, rat runs that are now closed I've given up and find my fun in the opposite direction. Still perhaps after everyone has cleared out I can enjoy a good squirt in my Cooper S!

I don’t think HE pays the fine for using the Range Rover Ken (sorry … Shirley) I dare say it goes against his expenses that the London residents pay for !! So does he give a flying f**k … what do you think ??!!

I’d agree with what you say about Essex and in fact all the Home Counties. A lot of my family are from the Welling and Bexley areas in Kent .. some are just outside the zone some aren’t ….

Living in the sticks definitely has its advantages

"Motorists with older, environmentally friendly cars which are not aged enough to be deemed as classics are being forced from the road by the impending Ulez expansion, while gas guzzlers owned by millionaires are being welcomed to London.
Despite pumping out less than one third of the C02 than the most polluting new cars on sale, drivers of older cars face having to pay £12.50, while watching owners of the latest models by Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Mercedes continue their unimpeded access to the city.
Under the Ulez scheme, which has been described by critics as 'Sadiq Khan's vanity cash grabbing plan', motorists driving petrol cars which do not at least meet the Euro IV standard face having to pay the controversial charge. For diesel owners, they must have the latest Euro VI engines or hand over cash each day they cross into the soon-to-be expanded zone."

You'd need to pay me £12.50 to enter London.

It was great in the eighties and now it's a dump.

Should be "YOU'RE A WANKER" ...
The forerunner of the Mini .. the A35 .. lots of similarities except rear wheel drive. Mine engine contains a lot of Mini parts now and some Metro brake parts!
