1962 Super What's the story?

Received a text with pictures over the weekend. A friend, while a car guy knows little about minis. Well, he does know he'd like a Mk1 Cooper S. He has stumbled upon a long storage project and quite sure he had found the holy grail. The 90 mph speedo although three clock pod, boot board, single tank. Then he found drum brakes, single carb??? Title clearly indicates a 1962 Austin. I think I know what it is. Steve (CTR)

A Super is rarer than a Cooper - especially now. Many Supers "became" Coopers after a bit of logbook swapping and cutting the transmission tunnel to accept a remote gearchange. Didn't the Super have a chrome plated "magic wand" gearstick originally?
Does Garry Dickens still run a register for the Super models? He visits here a bit doesn't he. He'll soon tell you.

Yes the super does have a chrome plated magic wand gearstick. They also have a grille with the extra bars, front brake drums, gold brocade trim etc
