PIC OF THE DAY

Post by mk1 »

This is the first one in a new regular feature called pic of the day.

One pic posted each week day morning by me that I hope will be of some interest.

Lets get the ball rolling with a nice rare pic of Daniel Richmond out and about in 777MCG his personal 1275 S taking a terrified journalist (Anthony Curtis) for a 100mph run round the rural roads of Wiltshire.

Inside Speedwell's showroom on Finchley Road looking onto Llanvanor Rd. Speedwell were Austin dealers as well as a tuning company & shifted a large number of standard models as well as modified cars over the years.

Speedwell's Sales manager Len Adams & a lucky punter examine a standard looking Tweed grey 1275 S.

I strongly believe that the car they are looking at is my car, before it was modified. The Slideshow I have, that was originally found by Andreas, shows the guy in the picture, part ex the car outside, buy an S and then proceed to get a whole lot of extras added. At the end of the slide show he drives off in my car.

Nice story there Mark. Funny how surprised I am to see a new mini under bonnet shot - can't help but think it looks like a resto ;-)
