They are usually dated week/year.

I guess it's week 42 1985 or 1995.

Does the lock have another number on the upper face (where the latch comes out)?

Also what car did this come from, Mk1, 2, 3 ...

I do need an right 1973 lock for my Seneffe built Mk3.

No other number and it is not know where it came from.

Well I would guess that it is week 42 from 1975, 1985 or 1995.

Not having any others to compare it is just a guess
