New Forum Member; Hello!

Post by tweedy998 »

Hi All. I recently signed up to the forum as I used to have a number of quick(ish) Mini's back in the 90's and just recently my other half has purchased a lovely 1965 Morris Cooper 998 in tweed grey which I'm now tasked with looking after. I thought it would be nice to say hello, and introduce myself, as I'll no doubt be asking the odd question here and there.

I've been really enjoying reading a number of posts on the forum, particularly some of the re-builds which make for really inspirational reading!

We intend to keep the Cooper in the more or less completely standard trim as was in '65, but it's not a car that's going to be squirrelled away under a dust sheet, it's a car which is going to be driven and enjoyed and well looked after in equal measure. It's certainly re-ignited my passion for Mini's and look forward to contributing to the forum!

All the best, Ed.

A picture of the Cooper (or 'Tweedy' as we know him) below... (if it works)

Hiya and welcome, just replied to your OEW query. Now I see this I don't need to worry about matching wheel colour to a white car ;-)

Thanks! Just reading now. :)

The 'S' wheels will only be fitted to 'Tweedy' on an occasional basis, as we really like him in completely original trim on the 3.5's and 'trims' for the main part. :D
