That's a great video - had to chuckle at his commentary whilst hooning around in the lanes that "9/10 people in ordinary cars are going much too fast" - so as long as you're in a 60+ yr old Lotus its fine

However! There is an important thing to bear in mind. . . . . . . . . . . .

Anyone over the ago of 40 driving an Lotus 7 looks absolutely ridiculous!
I looked cool in 1974 when I bought my 7 ( couldn’t afford to buy it now,) , I still look cool now, but it does have an A series and sccr, but I’m rather bald and deaf now !

Fantastic videos.

I wonder what the red mk1 Austin mini is doing there.

Perhaps the 2 cyl engine will end up in it !

In response to Mk1's comment about looking daft...... Here in Abingdon we get the '.....elderly' reliving their youth in the spring and summer driving through in their MG's. The other day, there was an old boy, well into his 70's, driving through in his top-down roadster. Yep, grey haired, bald as a badgers arse on top, sun shades, long straggly grey hair around the sides pulled back into a pony tail. Only in Abingdon

Its reassuring that even a bloke as brilliant as Ivan sometimes can't lay his hand on a 'special' tool that he knows he's got somewhere in his stash.
Great to see such enthusiasm for the car.

At the end of the latest video, Ivan shows round his mini. Its a 59, 5555 PO, in very original condition.

He then shows us a 2 cylinder two stroke engine - the original mini prototype engine.

He's going to end up with a full set of early mini options, though as it stands, he hasn't got a gearbox for the 2 cylinder.
