I must admit though, its a nice looking old thing
the 'CIAO' on the rev counter is a good touch - I might stick that to the rev counter in my race car after my engine cried 'goodbye' when it saw 10 grand plus last year

Greg certainly found a hell of alot of special cars in such a short space of time, how lucky was he??
And some of them were actually real!
He certainly inspired a few others to be just as "lucky"!

If I’m right, this car was built by Hales for a customer to replicate V 997, which he would not sell. Featured in the same magazine article as V 997

It is interesting - but hard to know what car the registration was really on originally as BMC were known to swap registration numbers around between their cars for publicity photos
