That seems an incredibly well written advert for someone that has only ever sold two pairs of shoes on ebay before!

So whats it really worth assuming it has actually got an S engine ?

My guess is £10 to £15K , I just dont think there will be the level of interest to command much more, in what is a niche car

I will probably be proved completely wrong though

Who knows, all I know is it needs a substantial amount of work doing, including space frame work which can get pretty messy as the rotten bits are wrapped in the GRP body, needs repainting, electrics, interior, etc, etc and it’ll be worth £40k tops when it’s done. The last project sold went for £15k but without an engine and the last few decent running cars sold went for £30-£35k (and two of those had race history) so I’d guess this must be £20k in todays subdued market? The Unipower GT Register says they’re worth £60-£70k so what do I know. Being physically able to get in and out of one is an achievement in itself at our age!

As others have said, doors not good, also no bonnet catch, among other things……….because of the obvious issues my worry would be what is under the paint. Then theres the £500 non- returnable deposit to deliver, of course you wont feel obligated to complete the purchase when you see it person will you …might be a more effective sales method than potential buyers actually coming to see it.

I don’t want to rip these fresh rebuilt Coopers and S’s to bits but I could, most are asking big money as it probably costto build near the figure wanted as they were started in COVID but unfortunately the prices have softened , I will keep going with my projects as they are for my use. I see a reduction in out of the box fresh cars coming onto the market. I noticed recently my tweed grey S from my teens has come live on the DVLA site after being last taxed in 1983, I am watching it’s progress.
