Its probably referred to the later thin flange block with the beefed up centre main bearing web .
It was introduced into production cars sometime in late 65 or early 66

Just incase you are thinking of buying these JS parts, keep in mind they will not fit in the original airbox holes.
The diameter is to large to fit in the holes, I had a pair of these as well but had to sell them again.
DOWNTON Mini is what I like a lot.

Great car indeed! Personally I would’ve polished what was there, then had the wings painted to match though!

A bit like when I had to replace a door on my Traveller. I asked the shop to paint it to match the rest of the car.

I wasn't really insulted when they asked "which particular bit did I want them to match it to" :lol:

Indeed, a machine polish would have it looking better, still have patina, just shiny patina!
