Never realised what a warm hearted, humane lot of humanitarian souls we had on the forum. I've got tears in my eyes now over my 'sticky boards' suggestion. Pass the tissues. Must be my deprived upbringing. Born at a young age and all that.
I'm very animal friendly and sympathetic to the cause of our mistreated wildlife, especially as we humans continue to invade their territory, and that includes the cute and cuddly little mouse. Hey, as a youngster I sat on the floor in front of a black and white TV watching the Mickey Mouse Club. What more proof do you need?
But when the selfish, germy, plague and monkeypox carrying and disease infected rodents chewed through the insulation on the wiper motor wiring in my 1970 Cooper S leaving just the black connectors my latent mean-streak took over. No cheese for you, my friend. Instead a lethal dose of Brodifacoum to take back to your comfy nest and chew on. Hope you pass the story on to your litter to warn them before you spew up blood and die.
Now, feeling quite satisfied, I'll get back to repairing the wiper wiring.

I find that apple works well as bait…….alternatively you could just drive the car every day!!!
.....no that does not work (driving car each day) ......Last couple of weeks, work car broke down and I opened the bonnet to a field mouse racing around near the battery !!
That car does about 30K miles a year and is used every day, maybe this is evolution in action?....... why live in a wet cold field when you can live in a nice warm, albeit noisy engine bay
I have to say me preference was always the humane traps, but with an immunocompromised person in the house I decided for once swift if slightly crueller action was required. Unlike my brother who goes ratting with his father-in-law on his farm with a 12 guage...
Well that was until one day they were following one along the wall in a barn, he pulled the trigger and BANG! Darkness! He'd missed the rat and took out the fuse box instead
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
