Thoughts? Or did I just miss a previous discussion?
If I’m reading it right it managed to leave Longbridge, get converted by Radford and onto a boat to the States in 2 weeks.

Recently seen in the Bonhams Goodwood Revival sale, guess it didn't sell, does look nice, personally I think if a car is 'coach built' it should not be a factory standard colour, though some of the factory greys do look nice.

Why isn't there a single picture of the interior?

You would've thought they would at least make it road legal and fit a front number plate and rear numberplate lamp!

That’s a genuine Radford S and yes ‘restored’ back to factory colours over in the U.S. That’s just one of a several Radford Ss I’ve seen restored in standard factory colours in recent years, bloody sacrilege (sorry Murph  ) . Originally light metallic blue.

Yeah there was the odd one in standard colours but it’s a craze I noticed with Minisprints aswell in recent times being painted factory colours, rip up your heritage certificates and paint them a proper colour I say! :o

I’ve seen the interior of that one and it’s all been redone in brown leather as I remember.

Everything about that car & ad, just make it look a bit tawdry & unloved.

Not the sort of vibe you really want to send out when selling a Radford.

Personally, I find it hard to reconcile the build date & export date, seems all a bit quick to me.

First original Mk1 Radford I've seen with a rod-change gearbox...
...must have been a prototype.

Yes it’s changed a little since 1966, understandably. Ruined some might say but I can’t see any deception going on here, just a very unsympathetically restored car which we’ve all seen a million times before to be fair. 🤷🏼‍♂️ My use of the word ‘original’ refers to it being a car with continuous history not in its ‘original’ spec. Plenty of those about, often built from an 850 and an S logbook.

More on it here …

Tons of pictures here :

Seems to have its original body number on the all important pre resto photos, happy to be corrected but this car looks pretty convincing to me.

We should remember that the George Harrison Radford didn’t exactly receive a particularly sympathetic restoration, Macca’s Radford looked equally modified by the 1980s, as did Ringo’s but all have continuous history, are original shells and having seen all three close up are genuine cars in my book because they’re not bullshit built from nothing.

That is really nice and it wants a bare minimum job - engine rebuild, wings, sills, a decent paint job and anything else urgent but leave the interior (including paint) alone - just give it all a good clean. Ditto the engine bay and boot. I'd refit those number plates as well.

Looking at the extra photo's now on the Manor Classics website it looks to have the higher seat belt mounts.
