A bit of Moke too.

Occupied by a very thin, hairy Sean

Here's 'Mackie', my first Mk1, bought after I saw it parked up in a side road and left a note on the screen for the owner in case he wanted to sell it.... looks a bit green in this pic but it's actually Island Blue....
Parked outside Paul McCartney's gaff in St.John's Wood on the way to Crystal Palace for the London - Brighton run, note the MkIV tail lights....
I sold it to buy another Mk1 and it's appeared on ebay twice since then, both times I wanted to buy it back but wasn't quite quick enough.
My first Cooper, bought at the Bobbington Mini Day for £1500....

Re: Share your photos
Some stupid sod didn't tighten the 3rd/4th selector fork bolt and locknut. And it wasn't me as I didn't build it.
And being winched onto the truck, the drivers wing seam cover pinged off at the bottom, as it always did. I never really bonded with this one.
Saxondale Services on the A52/A46 junction in Spring 1992 - I expect it's quite different now. The 970 engine and SC box had gone back in and I was driving from Oxford to Darlington when I worked for Mini Machine. I'd set off about 6am and it was a superb day. The engine was really singing and suddenly, no gears.
I realised that day that expensive Minis were often not much better than cheap ones.

Returning to the UK after the 2000 Mini Europe Rally. E110UNA is, or was, a Mini Advantage aka 'Disadvantage'. It actually went really well with a Stage 1 kit fitted.

Re: Share your photos
I'll join in the fun. Here's a few I shot in my workshop a few months ago.

I usually spend my summers going round racing meets and car shows taking pictures like these:

I've really missed going out to take pictures, even though the Zandvoort Historic GP went ahead last year I decided against going, I wonder if they'll be allowed this year as all signs are it will get worse before it gets better...

One of my Clubman GTs from a few years back

One of my more recent GTs

'Her' Moke, a few years back, just after crossing an icy cold Newnes Creek

Myself and two great mates on our 5 week, 10 000 km Cape York Trip

Line up from a former NSW MC get together

Time for some breakfast !

Second Moke I had, also bought new (this was taken about 1981)

My first Moke, on my way home from the Gunbarrel Highway (1985)

At the Joint British / Australian Nuclear Bomb site ate Emu Field, South Australia

On my way to Adelaide one time

Old Northern Road. This was the first road linking Sydney and Newcastle, built in the 1800's by convict labor

Re: Share your photos
Great pics so far
here are a few more of my own. Although this is the Mk1 forum, I hope it's also okay to share some photos of my 1991 Mini Neon along with my '65
These ones were taken back in November...

Isle of Wight Mini Adventure last year (the only show I was able to attend, thanks Covid!)

My most recent photos from last Sunday taken from the local "beauty spot" at the top of Portsdown Hill

And to keep this post somewhat Mk1 related, some similar photos of my '65 in the same spot just after it arrived into the UK at the end of last year!
