Been following the responses....good grief...some really high prices!
Looks like I am living in the best fuel price area..$1.11 per liter....(65P UK price)
However, your cars may be getting better mileage than ours so it might just be a wash.
My V6 RAV gets around 28 miles per gallon....my big Duramax diesel truck gets around 20 miles to the gallon.
Diesel is quite expensive here compared to gas.

Cheers

HI,

Padova (Northeast Italy) the 95 today is 1,75 euro x L = 1,52 GBP. This is the lowest price of 2023.

Adelaide South Australia
Unleaded 91 octane. $185.9 varies often by 40c with a discount cycle
Premium 98 octane $208.9
95 octane $201.9
Premium DSL $199.9
Currently the fuel tax in Australia is 48c per ltr
Victoria tried to introduce a per km tax on hybrids and EVs (ZLEV zero and low emissions vehicles) but it was challenged in the high court and the court said if was illegal as only the federal government has the power to levy such a tax.

Today $AU 1.00 is worth 0.52 GBP

(TfL) 'Transport for London' is already recruiting people to setup a 'Cloud' based road charging scheme and meanwhile the first step for raising tax from EV's in the UK begins in 2025....

Introduction of Vehicle Excise Duty for zero emission cars, vans and motorcycles from 2025.
"To ensure all drivers begin to pay a fairer tax contribution, this measure will bring electric vehicles, which do not currently pay VED, and AFVs and hybrids, which pay a discounted rate, into the motoring tax system, in the same way as petrol and diesel vehicles."

Just have to look at my post for Netherlands... a good 20p/L more than UK prices on that conversion rate.

Pretty irrelevant topic.... Yer pays yer mpney and takes yer choices....

Not picking on 360 but ...."My V6 RAV gets around 28 miles per gallon." My Golf gets about 65mpg ....averaged over the last 300K kms Why on earth is the cost of a gallon of fuel a relevant matter or one for concern....

And what on earth are ".... VED, and AFVs ..."????

Cheers, Ian

Vehicle Excise Duty and Alternatively Fueled Vehicles.

As for the cost of petrol, my daily only gets about 30-ish MPG and I cannot (nor do I want to) replace it. So then the cost of fuel adds up. Sure the classics only take a tank or 2 during the season as they don't get the same mileage as the daily but when you're doing that in a few cars at once (I am in the privileged position to be custodian for a few classics) then it also adds up to quite a sum over a year... Plus the cost has risen sharply over the last few years and I'm afraid it will be a continuing trend...
