It is on the DVLA system when you do an MOT check Nick, as a blue car. So hopefully that's a start?

Thanks Andy, it left Longbridge surf blue but was grey by the late ‘60’s, looks like the log book perhaps never got updated. I’ve a photo from Mini 25 in 1984 where it’s clearly grey.
Cheers

I owned this car from 1968 until 1973/4 approx. I eventually sold it, the bodywork was in a difficult condition - rust in the floor. I had just got married and I had it in the garage with the intention of putting a new bodyshell on it.
To me it was a grey/white car, I never saw any indication of blue paint on it anywhere. It was a fabulous car. My wife (we have now been married for 52 years!) persuaded me to sell it. I have tried several times over the years to locate it.
It did have a deep groove across the fins on the front of the gearbox where the subframe had collided with it, maybe it had already had a new bodyshell finished in grey/white.
It had a wooden dashboard with opening gloveboxes internally, correct two tone grey upholstery and was fine - I still wish I had never sold it.
I met a guy at Curborough in 2022 and we discussed it and he kindly sent me a copy of the 1984 picture.
I sold it to a mate of mine (Chris Shaw) who was going to prepare it and rally it but like many grand plans it came to nothing. Chris sadly died in the early 90's. I understood he had sold it to a plumber from Tipton (then Staffs) but I have never seen it since.
I would still buy it now if I could find it.

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s
