Yesterday was the Latinamerica Mini Day, so clubs from Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, etc, met to show their minis, here are some pics from the meeting in Mexico City.

Weren't they made out of fibreglass somewhere in South America as well?
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

Yes produced in Chile. Initial moulds produced by Peel Engineering in Isle of Man. 6 prototypes produced in Cowley prior to moulds being shipped to Chile for production.

Were there any of these at the show. Do many still survive in South America. There are 2 prototypes still here in the UK.

As far as I know, in Mexico there is only one Chilean mini but I don´t think it was present at the show, very sought after.
