That is very sad news.

Peter was a true Mini legend, competing very successfully long after all his contemporaries had hung up their driving gloves.

My thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

I was never luck enough to meet Peter but he worked his magic on my Radford engine for Steve over 20 years ago. The image with Whirlpool sponsorship reminded me of my adventure on the Italian Job Charity Millennium run in 2000 when my friends Craig & Brad were supported by Whirlpool and we met with them when we stayed at Lake Maggiore on the way home for Imola. The signwriting was very different on the Craig's JCW Mini Cooper works, 4 years later. My thoughts are with the family at this sad time, as has been said - Peter was a Legend. RIP.

I met Peter at Jesus Lane Cambridge when he worked at Marshalls of Cambridge in 1978. To say he was a good friend would be an understatement. I will miss him dearly. I remember once he just had a hip operation and I went to visit him in hospital. He didnt know I was coming but I spent nearly 10 hours with him. Im glad I knew him. He was my hero
