Graphic on front grille
I would like to add a graphic to the front grille and was wondering how these are done and who does them. I'm assuming that it is vinyl lettering and would have to be extended to allow for the spacing and curvature of the grille. I am in the US.
Thanks,
Kevin
Thanks,
Kevin

Something like this?
If so, the image would probably need modifying a bit. You may get away with just stretching it a bit to accommodate the slats, but I would suggest the best thing to do was to talk about this to someone who does it professionally.

Do you have anyone nearby who does vehicle wrapping? They are the experts at this

Re: Graphic on front grille
Where in the us are you kevin?
I work in a sign shop, have some experience with vinyl. I own a 24" vinyl plotter and make single color graphics, or can layer for multi color. I use automotive grade vinyl, though not a wrap material. A more permanent, calandered vinyl uv resistant for up to 5yrs.
It'd be an interesting install, a little tedious getting it to lay on each individual slat. Hmm...
I'd probably lay it over all, slice it between the slats, and work each piece down with a squeegee.
If you're close enough maybe? I'm in ohio.
Photos of my wife's car i did for her.
And my car done up for a parade temporarily.

"Swade" is the wording as a tribute to one of members who has passed. The lettering could be just like the Swift logo, with a larger capital "S" and "wade" in lower case. This is going on a Mk 3 grille.

Thanks, I forgot to mention the grille is black, and the car is dark green with a metallic gold roof.

Re: Graphic on front grille
Mk1 or mk3 like in the above image?
I imagine a mk1 grill would not be as effective visually... but i have one to measure off.
Is the mk3 grill the same height/width gents?
I can make it in virtually any color vinyl we can get. But as for what i have on hand, I'll have to check.
I'm pretty sure i have black and white, gold, emerald green, a dark brown, yellow, red, and holographic chrome off the top of my head.

Re: Graphic on front grille
Been messing a bit.
I have plenty of straight fonts- a basic arial font seems pretty close, i could clean it up. But i built this straight off a swiftune image... to make it close. Used everything from the 'tune letters for swade's name.
I of course would add an enclosed border around it as the above graphic.
