To be sold without reserve prices at Anglia Car Auctions....

Post by mab01uk »

"Auctioneer Guy Snelling said: 'It is amazing what you do find in this job but to get there and see these classic cars stacked three high was quite extraordinary.
'The cars have been there since the 1970s and it took us two days to carefully extract them using a forklift truck and digger.
'It is very special to find three Jaguar E-Types and three ACs.
'One of the AC Ace Bristols was owned by Betty Haig, a leading 1960s racing driver.
'The cars don't have reserves but I think the sale could make hundreds of thousands of pounds.
'Had they been in nice condition, you would be looking at £700,000 to £800,000.'
The collection boasts two 1970 Jaguar E-Type roadsters, a 1970 Jaguar E-Type FHC S2, a 1955 AC Aceca, a 1957 AC Ace Bristol, a 1959 AC Ace and a 1951 Land Rover Series I 80 inch.
The sale takes place on August 19."

Link goes to typical Daily Fail bollocks about Harry & Megan & some murderer who they think should never be released. Pretty standard DM really.

If you search on youtube for AC Ace, there is a video of these cars being removed from storage. An amazing collection whichever way you look at it. An AC Ace would be high on my list of desirable sports cars 8-) A genuinely good one is £300,000 plus though :o So I won't be getting one

I guessed around £100,000 each. Not cheap for cars needed a very full restoration is it. Too expensive for me anyway ;)
