Re: Austin J40
Grandson turned up today & carried out the 1st test drive inside the house this took most of the afternoon .. was handy to get it test driven as this showed up a steering colum end float issue that could be fixed & then re- road tested..Driver then ended up trying to perform some Handbrake Turns before it was time to go home .

Re: Austin J40
Looking at your car reminds me of a model shop in Dusseldorf Friedrich Strasse. Absolutely jammed packed, top to bottom with models and toys of all sorts. Alas, the toys and models would be wasted on the young.......... By young, I mean, anyone under 25 or so! Just like your J40
Wifey goes shopping in the KO while I go shopping in Friedrich Strasse! Haven't seen a J40 there - yet. But quite a few beautifully restored and collectable 70's Raleigh choppers for megga euros...
That reminds me...... what should I do with my needy chopper?
