Be aware that not all parts supliers are equal (as with Minis) and unless you're buying brand new (and paying top money) what you get may be mildly substandard. One of the self-proclaimed experts powdercoats parts that have been resting on the seabed and sells them to the unwary for daft prices.

What an amazing little story. I always fancied one of them but my dad, an old wartime Desert Rat who battled up through Italy Italy and Monte Cassino was a dyed-in-the-woolwool Bedford trucks man. So an Austin was a non starter - if you'll excuse the phrase! . So I had to settle for one of those trikes that had an opening boot lid.
Took the Moke to Drive it day Bicester today .. found this company " Austin Pedal Cars " they are a division of Burlin ( SU in the UK).. spoke to their man & this is their new venture at the Bicester Heritage site .. they have some nice repro J40 parts .. i liked their screen printed pedal car size "Exide Battery Case" . there were some nice J40 Pedal Cars on display at Bicester but anyway J40 spares are available from their HQ.
The more i am getting involved in my J40 Pedal Car project they are a great that is until i get the re-chromeing bill
