Twin Engined Morris 1300

Post by NZmember »

1300GT up front and std 1300 in the rear so the front is always pulling the rear slightly.
Untouched original Morris 1300 shell.
The old boy sitting on the deck chair did it for something to do in retirement. He is now looking for another project.

In New Plymouth and at the weekend. Albert has his number on the front of the car. It probably had the most people gathered round it.

Probably can't see the phone number in the low res photo.
Albert 027 858 8072.
It is certified and on the road. Can run it in 2 or 4 wheel drive. He has done a superb job with period fixtures and fittings. Nothing modern on the engine. The fuel pumps and tank are all contained in that box in front of the rear engine. He said it could drop on the floor and everything would be contained.

Only one more I'm afraid. I can throw in another conversion. A boxy Toyota Corolla with a 4L V8 shoe horned in.

Is the box for the grandchildren to sit on ?

These used to be "Standard Grandad Issue" modes of transport when I was a kid...

What a great thing though

I wonder how the DVLA would view that? An extra hole in the boot!
