Even though she's been through a restore by a PO, for a 60 year old car- I've only had one siezed bolt that would not come loose.
Today, i had to replace an oil pan on my jeep compass SUV. Already kind of sore about the fact that i had to- because it was leaking due to rusted pinholes in the metal. At 5yrs old! Seriously...

Well, it certainly was not the same joy that i get working on Dianna, i can tell you that.
I just want to know- who was the genius that decided to engineer an exhaust mount bracket at the base of the manifold... that covered the bolt for the oil pan? I wound up cutting the exhaust bolts off with an angle grinder to remove the bracket. Then i had to further cut them, and drill them out- as the studs were siezed in the pipe. Replaced with stainless nuts and bolts.
Something that should have been a relatively straightforward job... became a tedious mess.
Every mechanic knows that exhaust bolts rust, corrode, and sieze up. Why the heck would you put them this way?
4-5 hours to complete the mission. Ugh.
