Re: 1991 Cooper Mainstream Project
My 1990 Mainstream is still being worked on, turns out everything was broken. In spite of new MSC on car adjustable lower arms I cannot reach .5 neg camber. I will have to remove them shorten and replace. I have run into a similar issue with the cheap Hi Los. I have had to remove and shorten the bolt. Hope that helps. Steve (CTR)

Yea might have to remove the locking nut on the front, and see what difference it makes.

Thanks for your interest, as for pictures I have plenty but I'm not good with a cell phone or computer and have yet to master posting pictures. With the HI lo s if the large bolt impacts the nut in the rubber spring it will lift the corner rather than lower. I have had some luck texting pics to cell phones and having someone else post them. i suspect I have 8,000 or more pictures of mini related projects. If I ever learned to post I'd drive the world crazy. Steve (CTR)

Well, we worked out why the car wasn’t getting any lower than standard.
The previous owner/ restorer had used Red Spot cones! So we’ve had to modify the Hilo!

Suspension height finally sorted, drives far nicer now.
Only a few jobs left, needs al black centre caps, and the grille fixings modified.
I'm still on the look out for some genuine dash cards, as the newton ones are awful. A pair of spots/ fogs, And an original electric fan, if anyone has anything stashed!

A picture is worth, it is always good to have mini friends.
This is my mainstream Cooper 1990. The owner's handbook is in Italian, a service man brought it back to the states.
It came to me as seen first pic. with a records going back 20 years. It began life as a Rover Cooper, as will happen
someone wanted a Sport Pac more. About then it came to the land of opportunity. Thirteen-inch wheel-wide tires will
aquaplane. Failure to stop before impacting a truck bumper led to the full body kit. Steve (CTR)

After 33 years everything needs attention. Having never opened a dash vent at speed that didn't offer a blast of dust and grit. I dead lined the vent hose and scoop. The OE electric fan was not working and generally poor condition. I have a picture of it as removed. Steve (CTR)
