Whoever 'designed' them needs to be taken outside and shot! Especially that V8 one with ridiculous sized wheels and a steering column that looks like it belongs on a bus. The half a Bini grille is something I'd expect a 10 year old to fit to his homemade go cart!
Australia has always had its fair share of adventurers/wackers. Here's two of them together, Dick Smith and Hans Tholstrup.
Aside from his very successful entrepenurial efforts, Dick Smith was famous for stunts like jumping a double-decker bus over a row of motorbikes and flying his helicopter around the world solo. Hans Tholstrup was famous for things like driving the smallest vehicle to complete the 1977 London to Sydney Marathon (a Moke of course) and driving a Moke from the most Southern point of Australia to the most Northern point including crossing Bass Strait, about 200km of potentially treacherous seas.
Look at the top picture again...... it LOOKS to me like the passenger is actually pedaling the moke, like one of those pedalo things you see on holiday beaches
