Windscreen sun visor/peak
A customer of mine has asked me to look out for the external visor/peaks fitted as accessories to countless 50's 60's cars. I confess to knowing nothing about them. But then thought of you!
Which Accessory suppliers offered them? Were they universal pressed ends with a generic centre trimmed to suit? Doesn't matter what they were actually intended for, I'm looking for all popular applications. So far I only have a plastic moggy item. WHY? Looking to buy or rent if that suits you better. I'll be at Beaulieu for the weekend, I travel across the lower half of the country on a fairly regular basis, or can also use my account couriers...

For a Mini ?. Please convince them that it's a very bad idea. That and headlamp peaks are surely the most pointless and ugly accessories on any car, never mind a Mini.

BMC had one listed in their original accessory brochures. The part number was 37H9360, and it cost £7, 7s.

Thank you both, seeing that green plastic has yanked a memory of my father's garage back to mind. I think he had interior sun visors in that plastic!
But, I was hoping to hear of the metal ones,..any condition, rusty , bent or incomplete, too and for any vehicle, WHY?

This one is made new for a friend of mine for his Clubman Estate, there is a business in the Netherlands who can make these for almost every car is different colours. Very well made and very strong.

Interesting, I think the response indicates that there are very few original parts out there....perhaps your contact ought to see what happens if they try marketing in the UK?
It's often the case that the market follows from repro availability...
