There was an excellent radio 4 programme recently called sliced bread which did some real life tests and came to the same conclusions.

After listening to that programme, I've decided to take the electric route. As soon as Eddie Stobart takes delivery of its electric trucks and the Army gets its electrically powered troop transports, I'll get my electric car

Looks like Shell have been cashing in nicely from the "Oil Shortage".
The cynical might suggest that it is in the interests of the Wests investors that the war in Ukraine lasts as long as possible.

According to Shaw Taylor in 1976 2they" were saying electric cars were to have a top speed of 80mph and a range of 500 miles by 1986.
