I had one when I was younger. The tracks would pull the fibres out of my bedroom carpet

Also something jogged my memory, they did one of these on that Salvage Squad show with Suggs.

Your thinking of the VW Iltis, they used them on the 1980 Paris Dakar.

We have two Snow-Tracs at my work (Australian Antarctic Division), in the heritage collection. Ours were originally fitted with Porsche 356 engines. Apparently one is a hard top and the other a soft-top. I can picture me cruising around in a Porsche 356 with the top down.

We were also responsible for developing the Mini-Trac, but tragically none of them seem to have survived.

There have been all manner of tracked vehicles over the years but these days we mainly use Hagglunds.

Snow Tracks and the Hagglunds....., we had plenty of them in the Army of the 70's. Need to be REALLY well maintained and spares are xxxxing epensive. Eventually left them all in Noeway except for a few here for driver etc etc training
