I see the Revival parade this year is for Lotus. Fingers crossed the car is ready (and invited!), it's certainly coming together, the chassis was incredibly sound, In fact, the whole thing has been pretty straightforward (all things being relative) and Robb is making his usual top job of it. His plan is to be going to Le Man's for the classic in ir, with my pal Nigel in his Alvis for it's hundredth Birthday!

It took ages to get started, but it transpired that the float bowls had drained after it's (fairly) long stand down. As it was a mech fuel pump, I had to crank for ages to get fuel through. I swapped the mech pump for an electric one & hopefully that problem will now be gone for good. Other than that, it's running like a champ.

we got the chassis moved and flipped upside down at the weekend, so all systems go for the new floor. Amazingly, the bottom of the chassis tubes are incredibly sound, with a lovely 'ting' when you hit them. There seems to have been some sort of bitumous soaked felt between the steel chassis and the alloy which has worked a charm. If it was an '80s Caterham the bottom 6" of the chassis would be in the dustpan!

I have a Birkin! So I'd probably get mugged if I turned up!
They were sold by Lotus South Africa as S3's after they sold rights for S4's to Caterham.
Caterham sued Birkin and lost!!
So perhaps I'll stick a Lotus badge on it and get lynched as well!
